Focus has Paul Cimino explain the history of the St. Joseph altars in New orleans. One of the great traditions on St. Joseph Day is the beautifully decorated altars made to honor the PatronSaint of carpenters, fathers and Sicily to name a few. These altars, which have been around for centuries, are a labor of love by the people who create them to give thanks for good fortune, fulfill a promise or just to share with those less fortunate. Mr. cimino and his wife have held a St. Joseph altar for 54 years giving thanks to God for their children. In the second part of the DVD, Dr. Mark Miravalle gives theological insight into St. Joseph and how he fits into our Catholic prayer life and devotions.
